With the new consoles (PS2) quickly taking priorty over the PSX/PS1 Game Console it is getting harder and harder to find information on games made for it. Websites are disap- pearing fast. So before some go the way of the DoDo Bird, I collected some info from them to save for historical purposes and for the PS1 users that have held on to their PS1 Game Console. Which turn the item shows up in R&D. Which turn the item becomes ready. How many turns to optimize the item. The turn which a blueprint shows up in R&D and the number of turns to optimize a blueprint is fixed. They remain the same in every game. The turn when a blueprint is ready and the price of a blueprint vary. Some things which seem to influence the ready turn and price are: Investing in the R&D will affect the ready turn and quite likely, the price. If Drakken invests in the R&D, it will definitely affect the ready turn, but I think that it is possible to affect the price too. New items are cheaper if you are finishing the maps quickly. The prices rise if you are taking too long on a map, even for blueprints that have been ready for a long time. Drakken purchases the blueprint before you do. I think this might make a difference. If not, then maybe it was because I was finishing a map fast. I'm not sure what caused the price change. Losing a base to Drakken. I think it has to be for more than one or two turns. This can make the price for most blueprints go up by at least 5%. Buying blueprints at Brenan and Union Claude will cause those two companies to lower the prices on other items. I think it takes about three to six purchases to see the discount, so buy then optimize, buy then optimize, etc until you see lower prices. I have seen some companies lower their price for a blueprint if I invested in the R&D and I have seen some items take longer in R&D, but were cheaper if I didn't invest. At least, I'm pretty sure that I've seen that happen. Companies that seem to lower the price for an OKE and its weapons if I invest in the R&D: Kawashima Corp.
