Description
Elmo and friends return to the PlayStation with SESAME STREET: Elmo’s Number Journey. You must take control of Elmo as you travel through three fantasy worlds. In “Cookie Monster’s World,” “Count Von Count’s Castle,” and “Ernie’s Carnival,” you must touch all instances of a specific number, whether it is a group of objects or the numeral. If you touch too many wrong numbers, you must start the stage over. After completing both areas in each world, Elmo will enter a bonus stage that requires solving simple addition and subtraction problems. Since the game is designed for pre-schoolers, all of the directions are spoken. Help a child get a head start with math by giving them a copy of SESAME STREET: Elmo’s Number Journey.

Let your little one feel like a big kid., November 1, 2001

Reviewer: Lorraine Artinger from College Point, NY United States This game is fantastic for a very young player. My daughter is 3 and she is able to play the game all by herself -- and win! It gives her confidence that she can play video games just like her older brother as well as reinforces what she is learning about numbers. I find a lot of video games that are rated "E" for everyone are still too hard and frustrating for a very young child. She has a lot of fun playing this game.

Reviewer: bretts_mommy from Texas This game is pretty slow and boring. My two year old couldn't get interested. I'm sorry to say this because usually Sesame Street does such a fabulous job, but not in this case. The game is slow and all you do is walk - very slowly - on a path looking for numbers. It is frustrating because you have to walk up to them in a certain way or you can't pick them up. Then there is no real "reward" to finding the numbers. Really boring.

Elmo Still Pleasing the millions?, July 7, 2002

Reviewer: Ben Dover from Nowhere, Iowa Aparently "Elmo like to count!" Whats next... "Elmo for President?" This is a very satisfying game... but it undoubtedly will someday end the world! All in all, this game was a good usage of sausage!

Cute Initially but Not Challenging, November 6, 2002

Reviewer: An Amazon.com Customer from Lombard, IL United States I got this game so that my toddler would have something to play on my Playstation. When he first received the game, he loved it (about a week); however, when he learned there were only 7 screens for play, he got bored (3 worlds with 2 adventures plus one that you go in each time you complete a journey). And, changing the levels (easy - hard) only changes the amount of numbers you must find but not the adventures. The only time he pulls it out (once a month, if that) is when I am not available to help him with another game. I feel I wasted my money. And, as another reviewer mentioned, it seems to use the same numbers over and over.
