Black Bass Tips
1.) Present the lure at the same depth as the fish. Use a sinking lure for in deep water or for deep-swimming fish.
2.) Do NOT drive closer than ten (10) feet to a fish. Use a long cast to reach the fish.
3.) Cast past the fish and slowly move the lure close to the mouth of the fish.
4.) Use the Pro-Cut Frog as an all-around lure.
5.) Check the fish finder to find out the depth of the fish.
6.) The lure should be at the same depth as the fish and should pass as close to the mouth of the fish as possible.
7.) Do NOT move the lure too fast!
8.) The fish will gain interest in the lure if the it is cast past the fish and slowly reeled so that the lure passes next to the fish.
9.) On cloudy days, select the bright-colored lure option.
10.) On sunny days, select the natural-colored lure option.
11.) In order for the fish to bite the lure, the player must move the lure in a realistic manner and pass the lure very close to the fish.
12.) When a fish is on the line, do not let the line tension meter reach maximum. To prevent the fish from snapping the line, keep watching the line tension meter and take action to reduce the line tension when the meter reaches maximum.
13.) Make lure selections carefully. Use a lure that is appropriate for the conditions.
14.) Indicator Arrow -When fighting a fish, follow the indicator arrow on the screen by pressing the directional button in the direction of the arrow. Pulling the rod and reeling in the direction of the indicator allows the player to move the fish in a direction that is more favorable to landing the hooked fish.
15.) Use the fish finder to locate good bass spots and remember these spots for future reference. Do not waste time in an unproductive area. Move to another area if bass are not present.
16.) Fish move according to weather patterns and the time of day.
17.) When the lure image is shaking, press the Directional button Up qucikly to reset the hook.
18.) Watch the tournament rankings throughout the day, and check the tournament records to assess your progress.
Blue Marlin Tips 1.) After hearing "HOOK UP," reduce the speed of the boat until it has come to a complete stop and do not reel for a few seconds to set the hook firmly.
2.) Steer toward "clusters" on the radar. These clusters indicate the presence of birds and/or schools of fishes. You may locate marlin near schools of baitfishes.
3.) The Radar always has north at the top and the boat is the center of radar screen. The compass always shows the direction that the boat is heading. For example, If a cluster appears on the right side of the radar and the compass area is pointing toward E (East), press the Directional button Up to set an easterly course to intercept the cluster.
4.) After finding birds, troll the lure so that it sweeps by the birds at a deep angle. If the boat is driven directly into the birds or fish, these natural indicators will disperse.
5.) Decrease the speed of the boat if birds or fish(es) are spotted.
6.) When the lure symbol shakes, stop reeling and release any drag on the line to avoid losing the fish.
7.) When "HOOK UP" appears, release the line for a few seconds to increase the probability keeping the catch.
8.) To hook a marlin, use the R1 button to change the camera perspective when birds are at the stern of the boat, and guide the lure toward the indicators.
9.) When the "Do Not Enter" symbol appears, this means that you are at the tournament fishing area boundary. If your boat is near the edge of the trolling range and cannot proceed, move the Directional button Left/Right and/or Up/Down to accelerate or reverse the boat away from the boundary area. Checking your location with the fishing area by use the L1 button (toggle) is suggested.
10.) When a fish is close to being landed, keep the fish behind the boat. Maneuver the boat in reverse to reduce the angle of the line between the angler (facing the back of the boat) and the fish. If the fish swims to the side of the boat and the angle between the angler and the fish is wide, the line will snap.
11.) After the hook is set, pull up on the rod; reel in and back up the boat to assist in landing the fish. Always watch the line tension meter. When the meter nears the peak, take action. One or more of the following actions should be implemented to prevent the line from snapping: stop reeling, release the drag, stop moving the boat, and/or stop pulling up on the rod.
