Manufacturers Description
"His sword slices the air inches from your face. You realize his next furious swing could mean your death. His size, his power, his savage strength are stunning. You can barely breathe, let alone fight, in the face of the evil Baron Dark and his Skeleton Legion. As Prince Lightstar, you alone are the final defense against the terrifying skeletal brigade. This is no easy task, for Baron Dark holds half of the mighty Lightstar Crystal. With it, he can change anyone with an evil heart into an evil skeleton slave. You must stalk him... you must conquer him... you must not return without the Crystal. You need to put the forces of good and evil back in balance. If you fail... you and your once-peaceful world will pay."

- Fully rendered 3-D characters and full-motion video sequences plunge you into an impressive fantasy environment.
- 100 vicious enemies await you in 20 savage levels--think you can handle it?

Skeleton Warriors is flat., June 20, 2002
Reviewer: Michael Lopez from Ontario, California
Skeleton Warriors is a 1996 release for the Playstation One console, and in today's era of gameplay it shows its age. The games begins flat, or basically two dimensional, as opposed to a three dimensional environment that can be freely explored. This means that the character basically moves across a background that moves from right to left across the game screen, and the gameplay cannot deviate from this very flat plane. When compared to the later games of PSOne which really evolved and pushed the system's capacity, this game seems in its technological design unambitious. Keep in mind that this game was released the same year as the first Tomb Raider which is comparitively excellent. Skeleton Warriors is distinctly arcade in its style, and does appeal to that very young gamer who rarely distinguished between great and mediocre games. If you are young or interested in a piece of gaming history this game may be worth the purchase. If you're a gamer that expects sophistication in the technological limits of gameplay, this game will only be amusing for its archival qualities. It today's market it is best compared to the graphic quality and capacity of some of the better of Nintendo's Gameboy Advance games.

This is the coolest game ever!, January 12, 2002
Reviewer: An Amazon.com Customer
This game is awesome. There are tons of levels and each one is different and has its own surprises and secret parts to it. The graphics are great too. You might think this game [isn't very good] because its only .98, but it is one of the best games i've ever played. If you are debating on whether to buy this game or not, buy it. I did, and I love it. By the way, i'm 15, not 4. |
