THE CHARVA:
The really bad guys
With their ruthless, strategic attack system intelligence on the CHARVA is sketchy at best.
We know they are a little taller than the average human male, with a tough leathery outer skin and their eyesight is poor resulting in ineffective peripheral vision. They breathe oxygen yet can survive for short periods in gases normally fatal to humans and tend to function better in lower gravity. The Charva are an intelligent species and have mastered space travel at speeds far in excess of humanity has accomplished.
Mankind’s ability to terraform planets drew unwelcome attention from the Charva. From the edges of the known galaxy they tore their way from planet to planet using the newly-oxygenated worlds as stepping stones to Earth. Mankind's greatest achievement may yet have become the means of its destruction.

Each Unit starts the mission equipped with a pulse rifle with infinite ammo. Upgrade your weapons by collecting the pickups scattered around the levels or dropped by the defeated enemy.
